Hello friends and readers,
We had a great first gathering at Finnriver on the 14th, when we talked about the lens of our reading list for this year.
While there were so many great books and lens to consider, we decided to look at Indigenous voices/futurism. This is a budding genre in the published world, and the current book list (outside of anthologies) is still relatively small (but growing!). We were able to identify our first few books and are looking into the last three, and would love to enlist the group to help identify those titles!
Reading list & dates:
Nov. 11 - The marrow thieves by Cherie Dimaline
Dec. 9 - Robopocalypse by Daniel H. Wilson
Jan. 13 - Future Home of a Living God by Louise Erdrich
Feb. 10 - Love Beyond Body, Space and Time by Hope Nicholson
Mar. 9th - Trinity Sight by Jennifer Givhan
If you know of a book that you think would fit into our list this year, please let us know!
From your book loving host & P.E.A.C.E. ambassadors,
Crystie & Twozdai
