Photography is an interesting mix of yang, science/technicality and yin, intuition/vision. This workshop will be about harmonizing or finding a balance in your portraiture between the decisions you make of one action over another. Color or black and white? Long lens or wide angle? Shallow or deep depth of field? You will learn to collaborate with your subject at a deeper level enabling you to produce a meaningful image.
Some of the things we will discuss are the components that make up a successful portrait. These are: the body (eyes/hands), environment (setting), motion, mood (light/shadow) and “a day in the life” (documentary). Having a conscious spiritual perspective in mind will hopefully allow you to access creative flow.
