Tired of dealing with a painfully slow internet connection, or no access at all? Concerned that your children don't have the same tools for learning that are available to families in more urban areas? Need better access to the internet and social media so that your business can compete? Join us on March 18th and 19th!

The North Olympic Peninsula Regional Broadband Symposium will bring together members of the community with local government officials, economic development entities, tribal representatives, the ports, the public utility districts, private ISPs and funders to explore options and develop community action teams to bring improved broadband access to our region.

Who should attend:

  • local government officials and staff members,
  • nonprofit organizations,
  • business owners and managers,
  • educators,
  • tribal members and officials and anyone interested in better internet access.
  • Teams from neighborhood or communities wanting to work together are welcome.

Admission is free but registration is required.

March 18th:

  • 10-11:15am: Panel: Unserved and Underserved Communities on the NOP
  • 11:15-12:30: Panel: Public & Private Internet Infrastructure on the NOP
  • 12:30-1:30 Lunch and Legislative Updates
  • 1:30-2:45 Local Independent ISP Roundtable
  • 2:45-4pm Panel: Broadband Success Stories from other Communities
  • 4-5pm: Breakout Sessions
  • 5pm: Networking and Appetizers

March 19th:

  • 9-10am Local, State, and Federal Funding Opportunities
  • 10-11am: Building Local Broadband Coalitions Overview
  • 11-2pm: Breakout Community Coalition Planning Sessions
