Go Little Tokyo is home to unforgettable annual cultural festivals, a jam-packed foodie haven, unique Japanese goods stores, and so much more! Admire traditional kazari decorations at this year’s Tanabata Festival (August 10-11). Enjoy free activities at the annual Natsumatsuri Family Festival (August 10th) including activities ranging from an origami corner to tasting Okinawan treats.

Make sure to visit the Nisei Week Japanese Festival (August 10-18), one of the nation’s longest-running multi-weekend ethnic festivals. Returning this year to Nisei Week out of “paw-pularity,” join Aki the Akita and friends at Aki’s Pup up Party on Sunday, August 11 and treat yourself and your pup to shopping, food, and fun for pups of all ages and sizes.

Lastly, celebrate Fall at this year’s 7th Annual FandangObon Festival. The festival bridges the participatory music and dance traditions of Fandango of Veracruz, Mexico, Japanese Buddhist Obon circle dances, and West African dance and drums on October 6th.
