TTW: Drawing the Figure and Character creation

Family Friendly
Free
The Boiler Room
711 Water St, Port Townsend, WA 98368, USA

The drawing of the human figure has been a skill needed for professional success in many areas of design for a long time. This class could be that first step for those planning to study Fine Art, Animation, Illistration, or Character Design. In this class you will learn from instructor Ryland All the process of drawing a human figure and how to bring characters you think up to life.

Tools you will need for the class: Your imagination, a pencil with an eraser, and paper (a sketchbook works fine too). This is a free art class on a first come, first served basis. We will provide supplies for at least the first fifteen people, but you're welcome to bring your own supplies or just watch!

Through The Wall is a collaborative project of The Boiler Room and our neighbor, Northwind Arts Center, which provides visual art instruction from local artists to folks from The Boiler Room's extended community. The program fosters a collaborative relationship between Northwind and The Boiler Room as neighbors in the community, through our adjoining wall, and supports young and emerging visual artists. It is Northwind Arts Center's mission to foster arts appreciation and education in the community, and it is in The Boiler Room's mission to provide growth opportunities to the community--this partnership ensures both organizations' goals, while building community that helps non-profits mutually benefit from each other. For more information about Through the Wall or for ways you can support this partnership, please email boilerroomed@gmail.com.
