A lively online experience creating mini, abstract collages on the spot with papers and color from pencils, marking pens and crayons. No paints! The session will open with live demos by the two artist-instructors, Anne Schneider and Carol Nielsen. Anne and Carol will both work spontaneously from prompts to make their own abstract collage pieces, and you will see for yourself – in real time – the very different art works that result.
Then you will work with simple prompts from both the instructors and the other participants to create unique art pieces to share with each other during the class experience.
This approach allows us to see similarities and individual differences in each of our styles as we interpret prompts and create art. No previous collage experience needed. Tips on the uses of materials to enhance your creations will be provided. In order to keep the fun going after the class, the instructors will provide ideas on how to continue this spontaneous art-making with others while maintaining social distance.
