570 W Ave 26, Los Angeles, CA 90065, United States

On Monday, January 18, 2021, L.A. Works is hosting a multi-platform event for thousands of volunteers to honor the national Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. This event will encourage Angelenos to carry on Dr. King’s legacy of activism by participating in virtual and/or in-person service activities.

The day-long, choose your adventure-style event will include volunteer opportunities and experiences designed to build upon the anti-racism movement:

Virtual Workshops – Zoom in at home for expert speakers, volunteer events, and advocacy actions focusing on the impact of race on food insecurity, homelessness, and the criminal justice system.

Drive-In – Our drive-in event is for those looking to safely volunteer out of the house. While remaining at their car, volunteers will complete projects benefitting local students.

Minecraft March on Washington – Take a tour through the fully recreated National Mall in Minecraft and interact with civil rights leaders who paved the way and are continuing the fight for Dr. King’s dream of a just and equitable society for all.
