2021 Summer Low Tide Walk - August 21

Museum Portico, Port Townsend Marine Science Center
100 Harbor Defense Way, Port Townsend, WA 98368, United States

Join us for a guided walk on the beach at low tide and learn how animals survive and thrive in the intertidal zone. We are hosting tides throughout the summer!

Meet at the Museum exhibit portico entrance for a guided Low Tide Walk on the beach with PTMSC naturalists. From the portico we will walk to Kinzie Beach where we'll explore tide pools and learn about how marine organisms are adapted for the challenges and daily extremes of living in the intertidal zone. We recommend weather-appropriate clothing and shoes with good traction for moving around on wet slippery rocks; and don’t forget your mask. The beach is a .4 mile walk from the Museum.

$7 for adults and $5 for children over 5. PTMSC members are always free!
(Please RSVP via the ticket link.)

Low tide: -1.81ft @ 9:44am
