Join us on Friday, August 6th for live music with Lion of Judah!

A full-sound, local group of singers and players of instruments hailing from the Virgin Islands, Ethiopia and the Pacific Northwest region of Washington state. Their music consists of a blend of classic ska, dancehall, and roots reggae fused with a uniquely modern style. Whether a cover tune or original material, you will find that their style of music is designed to make folks dance and have a good time.

The band was originally known as Cannon and the Lion of Judah, led by founder, composer, and bassist Cannon, who passed away in March 2018. The band now consists of several members of the old crew, and some very unique talent recruited from Sanctuary City Reggae Band. Introducing Pappa Hema, music director on vocals and piano; Ta' Zayah, general manager on vocals and conga drums; Erich and Jon on guitar; Philippe on keyboards; Lady Shervonne on vocals and bongo drums; Susan on bass; and Nati on drums.

“Join us, as we have the unique opportunity, and are truly blessed, to be able to share our music with you. We will treat you to some of Cannon's music, as well as new creations. We look forward to making you dance!” - LOJB

We’re excited for the revival of our Orchard Vibrations weekend featuring live reggae music on the farm! Given the state of the world and the capacity of our space, we have several options for enjoying the events.

On a first-come, first-served basis we will have pavilion and patio seating at the dance floor level — with access to our Finnriver Kitchen menu for food and a full range of cider — for a $5 per person cover charge with those funds going to the band. All draft orders during the event will include a +$1 for the bands as well.

Beyond that, we can invite a certain number of folks to enjoy the events from the Field, where we have yard games and open seating, and where we offer walk-up cider service and grab & go snacks from the Porch (masks required indoors). No brought-in furniture, food or alcohol.

Dented Buoy woodfired pizza will be available for all for walk-up orders from 12-7:30pm.

We will have some designated dance areas and ask folks to be respectful of keeping social distance around the table areas. At some point, we may reach full capacity and we’d like to remind you that we are still implementing Covid-safe protocols requiring masks in any indoor spaces. Please be patient with us as we continue to do our best to offer community space while continuing to navigate the complexities of the pandemic.
