About this event
“Timon of Athens” is a satire of popularity, greed, and betrayal that shows the corrupting nature of wealth and a money-obsessed, materialistic society.

For seven seasons, the students of OPHC - Olympic Peninsula HomeConnection – have performed a Shakespeare play. The only exception was 2020. Due to COVID19 they weren’t able to mount a production. This year the directors/producers didn’t want the students to miss another year, however, COVID19 protocols made it impossible to rehearse in person. The decision was made to make a movie. Students worked remotely and then met in small groups to film the play.

The student actors range grades 4-8. They are: Kai Campbell, Auden Darrock, Cricket Douglas, Sierra Douglas, Fern French, Ruby Groussman, Gretel Maberry, Hayden Montgomery, Anna Munn, Tenzin O’Neill, Brianna Palenik, Miranda Ramsey, Aeden Sisson, Tristan Stewart, and Peter Sanok as Timon. Music is by Rowan Powell. The artistic/producing staff are Carla Powell, Maggie Kelley, Cathy Adler, and Jamey Campbell, and the director is Consuelo Brennan.

The Olympic Peninsula HomeConnection (OPHC) program is an alternative educational experience. Students are enrolled as full-time public school students, while learning at home. The Crescent School District HomeConnection program is designed to provide families of K-8 students the opportunity to combine the best aspects of home-schooled learning with the opportunities public education offers.
