FREE Event

As the migrating monarch butterflies continue their journey through Texas, Natural Bridge Caverns is hosting Butterflies and Blooms on Saturday, September 25 from 10-4. This free family-friendly event will teach kids and adults about the importance of diversity of habitat, how to recognize butterflies at each stage of development, and offer guests free seeds for planting. There will also be activity and planting stations for kids, instagrammable photo spots (complete with butterfly wings), live music, and a butterfly and blooms scavenger hunt.

“Over the years we’ve been dedicated to restoring and nurturing a habitat capable of sustaining pollinators of all types,” said Joye Wuest, CFO. “During this year’s monarch migration, we’re hoping to teach people how they can do the same in their own backyards.”

The Natural Bridge Caverns landscape team will be on hand to answer questions about the wide array of plants throughout the property that support pollinators as well as the types of butterflies attracted to them. For more information about this free event, visit naturalbridgecaverns.com.
