This event is part of City of Ralston Independence Day Celebration.

1. The contest is a contest of speed and quantity.
2. The contestant must be 18+.
3. There will be 25 ears of SPICY corn per contestant.
4. The contest will be a maximum of 10 minutes long or until the first three contestants finish their corn, whichever comes first.
5. There will be an official contest starter.
6. The top three contestants who have finished eating their corn first – or who have eaten the most once time expires – are awarded first through third place.
7. Contestant must eat every corn kernel (must be burst) for a cob to be considered complete.
8. No utensils are allowed.
9. Contestant must keep the corn down for two minutes after the contest is over. Failure to do so will disqualify the contestant.
10. Water is the only drink contestants will be allowed to drink during the contest.
11. Judges will be on hand to assure adherence to contest rules, tally corn eaten, and to disqualify contestants who fail to adhere to the rules.
12. Prizes are gift cards to Sojourn Café:
First place wins $50.00
Second place wins $25.00
Third place wins $10.00
There will be three celebrity and eight randomly selected contestants. Contestants MUST register by July 3rd at 6 PM. Contestants will be selected at 4:30 PM just prior to the start of the event.
