ABOUT THE PERFORMERS
Sasha LaPointe: Sasha taqwšəblu LaPointe is from the Upper Skagit and Nooksack Indian Tribes. Native to the Pacific Northwest she draws inspiration from her coastal heritage as well as her life in the city. She writes with a focus on trauma and resilience, ranging topics from PTSD, sexual violence, the work her great grandmother did for the Lushootseed language revitalization, to loud basement punk shows and what it means to grow up mixed heritage. With obsessions revolving around Twin Peaks, the Seattle music scene, and Coast Salish Salmon Ceremonies, Sasha explores her own truth of indigenous identity in the Coast Salish territory. Sasha holds a double MFA from the Institute of American Indian Arts in creative nonfiction and poetry.

Anne K. O'Neil: As Serpentent, multi-instrumentalist and visual artist Anne K. O’Neill weaves a deep cinematic spell of gothic folk, combining elements of European and American folk music, as well as neoclassical influences. Emotionally charged, Serpentent sets the stage with songs of love and grief, magically distilled through potent lyrics and oftentimes trance-inducing sounds. Gothic classical neofolk or 80s-tinged neoclassical dark pop, only the listener can experience for themselves. Serpentent are that unique paradox, almost beyond genre, leaving you speechless.

D.Wrex: With every heavy step and deep breath, D.Wrex conjures a brutal and beautiful sonic
experience that is as relentless as it is healing. Ferociously queer and hauntingly glamorous, D.Wrex is a composer and performer from unceeded Kumeyaay Territory (SD, CA) using live music, storytelling, and performance art to lead community in protecting and empowering femmes.
