Tustin’s chef-driven food hall--Mess Hall Market at FLIGHT--is partnering with and local dog rescues & vendors to celebrate National Dog Month with an exciting Adoption Event on Saturday, August 20th from 10AM-2PM!
Founded in 2016, The Dove Project is a non-profit organization focused on ending the dog meat trade in South Korea. The Dove Project works with animal rescuers in South Korea to rescue dogs from slaughterhouses, high-kill shelters and meat farms, then bring them to the U.S. to provide shelter, food, veterinary needs and forever homes. The Dove Project will have a number of dogs available at the event for guests to meet!
Additional rescues that will be at Mess Hall with adoptable dogs include No Stray Left Behind, and Ozzie and Friends Rescue. No Stray Left Behind is a small dog rescue organization. The non-profit works to save as many abandoned, abused, and neglected dogs as possible and provide them with a safe environment to live in until they can be adopted into a loving home throughout Orange County. Ozzie and Friends Rescue is a non-profit dog rescue organization dedicated to placing homeless dogs in loving homes. Founded in December of 2016, OAF has spent over five years working to break the stereotypes of bully breeds, stop the overbreeding of animals for greed, and restore rescued animals back to a healthy state.
Mess Hall will also be partnering with local dog vendors for guests to spoil their furry friends! Tiller Tugs uses recycled fire hoses to create quality dog toys while raising funds for local rescue groups. Nibbs Club creates pet treats that are made with healthy, quality ingredients and no preservatives. Wonderfull works to provide CBD products for pets to support natural healing. Molly McB & Company crafts pet collars, slings, walking bags, and more pet accessories. Lil’ Archie’s creates eco-friendly pet products, like compostable dog waste bags and Eco-Bandanas.
In addition to meeting rescues and exploring what vendors have to offer, guests can also participate in a Pet Portrait Painting Class. The class is open to both beginner or experienced painters who will have the opportunity to paint their very own painting of their dog! Master Artist, Alexis Rivera, will guide guests through every step as they create this special portrait– perfect for celebrating your dog for National Dog Month. Tickets for the painting class can be purchased at this link.
Mess Hall Market is a pet-friendly location that has hosted multiple dog adoption events where pets have been able to find their forever home. During this event, Mess Hall will be open so guests can fuel up with their favorite food and drinks while meeting some amazing, adoptable dogs!
We look forward to celebrating National Dog Month with you & finding some dogs their forever home!
