The Frost Symphony Orchestra presents its season opening concert conducted by Gerard Schwarz in a program of Charles Mason, Paul Schoenfeld and Johannes Brahms. Mason’s Solace, composed for Gerard Schwarz and the Frost Symphony Orchestra, invites the listener to contemplate the beauty of sound while living in a modern world of hyperconnectivity. Flautist Jennifer Grim and tenor Frank Ragsdale perform in Paul Schoenfeld’s Klezmer Rondos, which invokes the spirit and culture of European Klezmer music. The program concludes with Johannes Brahms’s Symphony No. 1 in C minor.
