Million Dollar Nile is a Seattle-based eco-bluegrass band that combines catchy hooks, humor, harmony and a passion for environmental issues to create uniquely entertaining music about everything from energy conservation to thinking your phone is ringing in your pocket when it's not.
Matt Sircely is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known primarily for his mandolin work in bluegrass, swing and other roots music styles. Originally from Pennsylvania, he moved to Jefferson County in 1999, and has appeared many times at Finnriver alongside Danny Barnes. His Red, White & Bluegrass band, The Redliners, will feature Daniel Ullom on mandolin, Jim Horbett on guitar, Forrest Marowitz on upright bass (all members of the Rain City Ramblers), in addition to the fiddling of Ben Blechman from Portland, Oregon.
Finnriver keeps our music events free and open to the public. To support the bands, we raise our draft pours by $1 during music events-- with added proceeds going to the musicians. Thanks for helping us celebrate the 'culture' in agriculture.
See you there!
