Festival of Joy is a yearly festival that happens in spring at Klyde Warren Park in downtown Dallas.

This festival commonly known as Ratha Yatra or Festival of the Chariots, is celebrated in many other global cities around the world. New York’s Fifth Avenue, Los Angeles, Europe, Asia and London’s Piccadilly Circus. It promises to bring a vibrant celebration & presentation of South Asian cultural, spiritual, and ancient heritage to Dallas Arts District.

The day starts with a colourful giant chariot pulled by rope by hundreds of participants from all culture, young and old. After the parade everyone gathered at Klyde Warren Park Downtown Dallas, where festival goers are greeted with ecstatic music and dance. Hungry? No worries, you will enjoy Free Delicious Vegetarian Food sponsored by Dallas famous Kalachanji’s Restaurant & Palace.

In addition to delicious Free Vegetarian Feast, festival attendees will enjoy cultural dance, authentic ecstatic “Kirtan” spiritual Rock N’ Roll, accompanied by several people dancing and chanting on the beat of drums, cymbals, guitars and other musical instruments.
