Port Townsend artist Suzanne Lamon is offering a new class for anyone and everyone who has had some experience with watercolor. While this six-week course is called "Advanced Watercolor," it's open to intermediate and advanced artists. Suzanne will be your guide each Wednesday, Oct. 16 through Nov. 20, from 12 noon to 2:30 PM at Northwind Art School at Fort Worden; more information and signup awaits at https://northwindart.org.

With Suzanne's bold and levity-filled guidance, you will be led down an exploratory path of color, emotional expression, and visual storytelling. You will learn how to add qualities such as whimsy, and how best to communicate the ideas you want. With the other participants you will gain the "how to..." through assignments and projects that will help you build your own visual vocabulary with strategies and tools that spark your own creativity.

Suzanne's own work is on view in her exhibition, "Paintbox Cornucopia," at the Jefferson Museum of Art + History. A courageous and enthusiastic artist, she was one of the founding faculty members at the Port Townsend School of the Arts, now Northwind Art School.
