This is the second of six installments in the 2025 Yard & Garden Lecture Series: “The Beauty of Weeds" with Mark Turner.
Mark is a freelance editorial photographer specializing in botanical subjects, especially Northwest wildflowers and gardens. Mark is co-author of Wildflowers of the Pacific Northwest, Trees & Shrubs of the Pacific Northwest, and the newly published Weeds of the Pacific Northwest.
The lectures are offered in person on Saturdays from January 11 through February 15 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Port Townsend. Each lecture will run from 10 am – noon. Lectures will last about 90 minutes, many times with a 15-minute break at the half. Each talk will be followed by audience Q and A.
The price for the entire six-lecture series is $75; single-event tickets are available for $15.
This year marks the 26th anniversary for the event, which is hosted by the Jefferson County Master Gardener Foundation, and co-sponsored by Washington State University’s Jefferson County Extension Service.
Ticket sales help support Jefferson County Master Gardener programs.
