This is the fourth of six installments in the 2025 Yard & Garden Lecture Series: “A Wild Idea: Native Plants for Pollinators, Birds, and Wildlife" with David Allen.

David is dedicated to growing native plants of the Olympic Peninsula. David owns Shore Road Nursery in Port Angeles, and has worked in the fields of restoration and plant propagation — including the Elwha River Restoration Project in the Olympic National Park — for more than 35 years.

The lectures are offered in person on Saturdays from January 11 through February 15 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Port Townsend. Each lecture will run from 10 am – noon. Lectures will last about 90 minutes, many times with a 15-minute break at the half. Each talk will be followed by audience Q and A.

The price for the entire six-lecture series is $75; single-event tickets are available for $15.

This year marks the 26th anniversary for the event, which is hosted by the Jefferson County Master Gardener Foundation, and co-sponsored by Washington State University’s Jefferson County Extension Service.

Ticket sales help support Jefferson County Master Gardener programs.
