This is the fifth of six installments in the 2025 Yard & Garden Lecture Series: “Native Bees of Washington State" with Karen Wright.

Karen is the pollinator taxonomist for the Washington Bee Atlas, a WSDA Pollinator Program that trains and partners with volunteers to identify and map existing native bee species in every county in the state.

The lectures are offered in person on Saturdays from January 11 through February 15 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Port Townsend. Each lecture will run from 10 am – noon. Lectures will last about 90 minutes, many times with a 15-minute break at the half. Each talk will be followed by audience Q and A.

The price for the entire six-lecture series is $75; single-event tickets are available for $15.

This year marks the 26th anniversary for the event, which is hosted by the Jefferson County Master Gardener Foundation, and co-sponsored by Washington State University’s Jefferson County Extension Service.

Ticket sales help support Jefferson County Master Gardener programs.
