Let’s celebrate Spring and draw some of the beautiful flowers we find in and around Port Townsend! Colored pencils are the perfect medium to capture color, texture and light. I think you’ll be amazed at the floral masterpieces you can create.
In this class, you’ll learn what to look for in a colored pencil, how different brands give you different qualities, which paper to use, plus how to mix color, create interesting textures, how to layer color, and how (and whether) to burnish. Then, break out the watercolor pencils, and create a “mixed media” piece by using pencils as a paint and a drawing tool. You’ll never think of colored pencils the same again.
