In this lively session, you’ll listen and create to authentic vinyl deejayed by music collector Chuck Moses. The musical program will be curated to include favorites and obscure wonders from over the years – 50’s jazz through the pop star 80’s and everything in between.
We’ll review epic album art from these eras and you'll create interpretations in acrylics, cut paper, pen & ink or collage. Instructor Meg Kaczyk will guide you to make art that is your unique creative expression of musical inspiration. All materials provided. You'll go home with a piece of art that captures the fun and joy of music.
This will be a toe-tappin’ fun time, further inspired by wine and snacks brought in by TAPS at the Guardhouse. All levels welcome to explore this intersection of music and art!
Meg Kaczyk, visual artist and Chuck Moses, photographer and vintage vinyl collector (and owner of Resurrection Vinyl) share the belief that music and visual art support and inspire one another.
