"It's as if Bonnie Raitt, Sia, & Janis Joplin had a baby." - Pulse Music TV, San Francisco.

Native to the Wichita plains and raised in Boulder, CO, Kara's midwestern roots seep through her sultry voice and songwriting with an eclectic blend of soul and rock 'n roll. For the last few years, she's been traveling around the country, establishing herself in different markets, including Charleston, Seattle, San Francisco, and Denver. In 2010, she opened for the late B.B. King at Red Rocks, alongside Al Green and Buddy Guy, with Denver-based classic rock band, the Groovehawgs. In promotion of her debut EP, Better By Morning, she most recently opened for Steve Miller Band with her own 4-piece, Seattle-based band during the Road Home Tour. She currently lives in Seattle, working on her sophomore record, set to release early 2018.
