Three fantastic indie rock bands from Seattle. You'll love it.
All Star Opera - Based out of Seattle, All Star Opera is a collective of artists balancing a diversity of talents and influences. Two emcees and a four-piece band play back and forth navigating an alternate reality inhabited by unfamiliar feels, dynamic composition and warm flowing soundscapes. Friendly-funky-dreamy-grungy-creamy-yummy-steamy-crunchy music for your hungry soul. allstaropera.com
Cold Comfort - Port Townsend natives Cold Comfort have been working hard on the new album 'Chemical Butterflies' for the past two years. Recorded at The Unknown in Anacortes, Wa, Chemical Butterflies is a culmination of weeks spent writing, practicing, and even sleeping in the studio! The album verges on neo-psychedelia while keeping grounded in a tight, driving rhythm-section. Swaying from progressive songwriting techniques to visceral vocal harmonies, Chemical Butterflies is a definite leap forward for the band; pushing their own musical boundaries, but staying true to the songwriting that first brought them together. The band performed at Upstream Music Festival to kick off the season and will be performing many other shows in the area throughout the summer.coldcomfort.com
The Landmarks - The Landmarks (also known as the Landies in some circles) are a five-piece indie psyche-pop band originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan. Comprised of soulful lyrics, screaming guitar, swirling hypnotic synths, funk-steeped bass lines and often frantically dancey drum beats.thelandmarks.bandcamp.com
