Swing Quintet plays at venues throughout the Olympic Peninsula. Music spans the first two-thirds of the twentieth century, ranging from dixieland, big-band, and latin dance music, to more modern jazz and funk. Most performances cater to dancers, including regular weekly and monthly events in Port Angeles and Sequim. The band also sometimes appears as a trio, quartet, sextet, or septet, in addition to the normal quintet format consisting of a two-horn front- line plus a rhythm section. The band's origins go back for decades, and most of the current members have been playing together for years.
