SUMMARY:Seamus Sims Skate Park Mural Project - Finalist Presentations
DESCRIPTION:The public is invited to provide their feedback and commen
 ts on the finalists chosen for the Seamus Sims Skate Park Mural Projec
 t. Up to three artists or artist teams will present their concept for 
 the artwork and their plans to engage the community in the development
  of the murals. \nBackground:\nThe City of Port Townsend Creative Dis
 trict has received a grant from the Washington State Arts Commission (
 ArtsWA) to paint murals at the Seamus Sims Skatepark!\nThe Park is loc
 ated at 250 Monroe Street in downtown Port Townsend at the heart of ou
 r Creative District. The project is expected to take place during the 
 second half of 2026 with the Call for Artists becoming available in ea
 rly April. There is a $49\,550 budget for this project\, including a $
 30\,000 artist commission. The murals are expected to cover approximat
 ely 1\,700 square feet of vertical concrete wall spread over several e
 xpanses and smaller features in the park and do not include any skatea
 ble surfaces.\nA selection committee of local stakeholders will choose
