SUMMARY:The Health Museum Global Teen Medical Summit
DESCRIPTION: \nThe Health Museum\, an interactive health science muse
 um located in the heart of the Houston Museum District\, is offering h
 igh school students the opportunity to explore modern-day health and b
 ioscience challenges with experts from the Texas Medical Center at the
  annual Global Teen Medical Summit this summer from June 14-19 or July
  19-24\, 2026.\nRegistration is now open for students currently enroll
 ed in 9th – 12th grade\, ages 14-18\, to attend and experience be
 hind the scenes tours of biomedical research labs\, interactive worksh
 ops to learn skills like CPR and suturing\, group-based challenges in 
 ethical case studies\, and an overnight dormitory experience at the Un
 iversity of Houston Main Campus.\n \nPartnering with some of the brig
 htest minds in healthcare today\, the Global Teen Medical Summit exper
 ience provides access to thought leaders involved in cutting-edge medi
 cal research\, clinical practice\, and public health.\n \nThroughout 
 the week\, the team will work on a design concept with mentorship from
  renowned healthcare professionals\, attend workshops\, hear from lead
 ing speakers\, and generate new ways of thinking about the most pressi
 ng healthcare issues of today. Together with peers\, they’ll define 
 areas of opportunity and explore how to respond ethically to the issue
 s and challenges\, putting theory into practice within the current hea
 lthcare landscape. The week concludes with a presentation where studen
 ts will be asked to pitch their solutions to healthcare challenges ide
 ntified during the week to a panel of expert judges.\n \nThe cost for
  the summit is $1950 and includes six science-filled days of exciting 
 hands-on sessions with medical experts\, medical center visits\, dorm 
 accommodation for five nights (4-person suites on the University of Ho
 uston campus)\, three meals per day\, plus daily transportation to and
  from dorms\, site visits\, excursions\, and team-building social even
 ts.\n \nMuseum members (Family level & above) receive a $100 discoun
 t per registrant. Applications for need-based scholarships are availab
