SUMMARY:The Health Museum Global Teen Medical Summit
DESCRIPTION:The Health Museum\, an interactive health science museum l
 ocated in the heart of the Houston Museum District\, is offering high 
 school students the opportunity to explore modern-day health and biosc
 ience challenges with experts from the Texas Medical Center at the ann
 ual Global Teen Medical Summit this summer from June 14-19 or July 19-
 24\, 2026.\nRegistration is now open for students currently enrolled i
 n 9th – 12th grade\, ages 14-18\, to attend and experience behind
  the scenes tours of biomedical research labs\, interactive workshops 
 to learn skills like CPR and suturing\, group-based challenges in ethi
 cal case studies\, and an overnight dormitory experience at the Univer
 sity of Houston Main Campus.\n \nPartnering with some of the brightes
 t minds in healthcare today\, the Global Teen Medical Summit experienc
 e provides access to thought leaders involved in cutting-edge medical 
 research\, clinical practice\, and public health.\n \nThroughout the 
 week\, the team will work on a design concept with mentorship from ren
 owned healthcare professionals\, attend workshops\, hear from leading 
 speakers\, and generate new ways of thinking about the most pressing h
 ealthcare issues of today. Together with peers\, they’ll define area
 s of opportunity and explore how to respond ethically to the issues an
 d challenges\, putting theory into practice within the current healthc
 are landscape. The week concludes with a presentation where students w
 ill be asked to pitch their solutions to healthcare challenges identif
 ied during the week to a panel of expert judges.\n \nThe cost for the
  summit is $1950 and includes six science-filled days of exciting hand
 s-on sessions with medical experts\, medical center visits\, dorm acco
 mmodation for five nights (4-person suites on the University of Housto
 n campus)\, three meals per day\, plus daily transportation to and fro
 m dorms\, site visits\, excursions\, and team-building social events.\
