DESCRIPTION:Forest Lawn will honor fallen veterans with free Memorial 
 Day remembrances at each of its six Southern California locations: Cat
 hedral City\, Covina Hills\, Cypress\, Glendale\, Hollywood Hills\, an
 d Long Beach. On Monday\, May 25\, 2026\, the family-friendly\, parkwi
 de remembrances will bring generations together to pay tribute to the 
 lives and valor of veterans of the United States Armed Forces with pat
 riotic music\, wreath layings\, presentations and retirings of the fla
 g\, keynote addresses\, presidential proclamations\, invocations\, giv
 eaways\, coffee\, and sweet treats. All events will include American S
 ign Language interpreters. \nThe Forest Lawn-Hollywood Hills commemor
 ation is the featured event this year. The family-friendly remembrance
  features keynote speaker Brigadier General\, Dr. David Smith\; the re
 sonate voice and presence of emcee Michael Ellington\; an invocation a
 nd benediction by Monsignor Frank Hicks\; a presidential proclamation 
 by Police Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton\; and music by the Los Angeles Co
 ncert Band. Forest Lawn-Glendale’s celebration includes the Glendale
  Sunrise Rotary’s Field of Honor American flag dedication\, taking p
 lace beginning Wednesday\, May 20\, and culminating with a stage event
  on Monday\, May 25\, at 11:00 AM. Flags are available for a $50.00 sp
 onsorship\, with proceeds benefiting local veterans. \nThe Memorial D
 ay remembrances at Forest Lawn take place on Monday\, May 25\, 2026\, 
 with the Cathedral City\, Covina Hills\, Cypress\, Hollywood Hills\, a
 nd Long Beach events beginning at 10:00 AM\, and the Glendale Field of
  Honor beginning at 11:00 AM\, with the Forest Lawn commemoration begi
 nning at 1:00 PM. Admission and parking are FREE for all events. Visit
