SUMMARY:Second Saturday Stroll – Salmon Stroll with the Land Trust &
   Olympic National Park
DESCRIPTION:For our September Stroll we will be hiking from the Madiso
 n Falls for 2.45 Miles to the Altair Campground – with an optional e
 xcursion to the old dam removal site(an additional 1 mile). For this S
 troll we are partnering with our Fish Biologist friends from Olympic N
 ational Park. Team member Henry Gould will be spearheading our journey
  up the Elwha River. Gould regularly surveys salmon populations in thi
 s section of river for the Park and will be guiding us through the sal
 mon ecology and history of the Elwha.  \nWe will be hitting the trail
 s early on the Second Saturday in September(the 12th)\, road snacks wi
 ll be provided by the Land Trust! This event is weather-dependent. Pl
 ease bring a full water bottle(or two) and be sure to dress for the we
 ather and uneven terrain. \nThis Stroll is more strenuous than previo
 us events held this summer\, we are committed to creating a positive\,
