DESCRIPTION:CalArts Winter Dance Festival features commissioned works 
 from choreographers Brigette Dunn-Korpela (Choreography MFA 14)\,
  Crystal Jackson-Singletary\, Rosanna Tavarez\, and Odessa Uno (Da
 nce BFA 19) performed by the students of The Sharon Disney Lund Scho
 ol of Dance. As distinct voices in contemporary dance\, these choreogr
 aphers consider how the next generation of diasporas dance. Each artis
 t utilizes their own movement language\, lived experience\, and histor
 ical legacies to contribute to a shared evening of virtuosity and pers
 onal meaning amidst community. Featuring faculty and guest choreograph
 ers\, the festival highlights the talents of CalArts Dance undergradua
 te and graduate students in a diverse and celebratory evening.
