Port Townsend Heritage Association Presents Uptown Walking Tours Summer 2024

Post Office/Customs House Route: Sundays June 2 thru August 25, 2024 ~ 11:00 am to approx. 12:30 pm

This is a new tour route for 2024. We change our route every summer, so even if you have been on our summer tours before this one will be new to you!

Port Townsend, Washington is one of only three American Victorian Seaports listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. Our Walking Tours focus on the years of “Great Expectations” when building was booming, sailing ships were king, and citizens were sure Port Townsend would be “The Key City” gateway to Puget Sound and beyond!

Explore the quaint Uptown neighborhood surrounding the historic Post Office/Customs House with your local guide. Stroll past iconic and lesser known, yet historically significant, Victorian abodes built by Port Townsend's notable and obscure denizens in the 1800's. Hear their stories from Boom to Bust. Tours have a maximum of 16 persons per tour.

Meet your guide on the front steps of the Post Office/Customs House 1322 Washington Street, Port Townsend. Meet just before 11:00 am. Ample parking at and around the Post Office/Customs House . The tour is roundtrip, so it begins and ends at the historic Post Office/Customs House. 11:00 am to 12:30 pm ~ 90 min walking tour, about a 1.5 mile walk ~ NOT ADA accessible, uneven surfaces, elevation changes, stairs, few to no sidewalks

$10.00 14 yrs and older ~ Children under 14 yrs Free ~ Advanced tickets at ptheritage.org or cash on-site.
