Painter, printmaker and ocean kayaker Shawna Marie Franklin wants to transport her viewers to a luminous world: the Pacific Ocean, where marine life thrives. Twelve large-format paintings and twelve monoprints fill the gallery with color and motion in this one-woman show. Shawna, who has circumnavigated Iceland, Vancouver Island and the Haida Gwaii, is no longer a full-time professional sea kayaker.
