Avant Chamber Ballet and Orchestra of New Spain join forces for an innovative and electrifying performance that pushes the boundaries of storytelling through dance and live music with two 1920’s works – Igor Stravinsky’s “Pulcinella” and Manuel de Falla’s “El Amor Brujo.”

This ground-breaking collaboration brings together the considerable talents of these two highly acclaimed ensembles. With colorful staging and costumes the Pulcinella production is set in Mexico, Stravinsky’s witty play derived from baroque music perfectly highlights the sly Comedia del Arte characters in contrast to the highly theatrical score of de Falla’s tragic one-act ballet set in Andalusia where its famous Gypsy Fire Dance will contribute to an unforgettable and captivating evening.

With their shared passion for artistic excellence, creative exploration and interdisciplinary arts practice, Avant Chamber Ballet and Orchestra of New Spain create mesmerizing narratives that transports the audience to new realms of emotion and imagination with two famous operas.
