Finnriver is pleased to host Tevis Hodge Jr!

Portland based musician Tevis Hodge Jr plays and preserves American traditional music. Born in Virginia, and inspired by his southern Black heritage, Tevis began playing blues at the age of 12 years old. He is well versed in multiple Blues idioms including the Piedmont, Delta, Urban and Country Blues. He also throws Jazz, Jugband, Folk and even Old-Time novelty tunes into the mix. Adding his own flare to the songs he covers, he seamlessly presents originals that can mingle with the classics and stay true to the source. His performances ooze originality and passion, which has made him a favorite at festivals and venues across the NW.
