Join us for our annual MLK Day Service Event January 19, 2026 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. In collaboration with Washington Service Corps, Friends of Fort Worden, Washington State Parks, and Washington Native Plant Society. We will be pulling invasive European beachgrass that is in competition with our native beachgrass, one of the few habitats for verbena moths. We will be focusing our efforts on a section near Knapp's Circle after first meeting at the Marine Science Center Portico. Snacks and water will be provided, please come dressed for the weather and bring any garden tools, shovels, rakes, or pitchforks you have. We will have some tools to borrow as well.
