Now for something entirely new. In this delightful workshop, you will learn to embroider on paper and turn your embroidered work into a short, animated video. Workshop leaders Kacey Morrow and Carrie Cooper will demonstrate basic embroidery stitches, guidelines for embroidering on paper, and simple animation techniques.

Using embroidery floss and card stock, you will embroider over a series of video stills, then transform your embroidered images into a short stop-motion animation. Before the workshop, we will provide a link for you to upload a 1-2 second video of your choice that we will turn into printed video stills and give to you at the workshop. No previous experience with embroidery or animation is necessary, but interest and some ability in art or design is helpful.
