Tonality, the Los Angeles-based social justice choral ensemble founded and led by Dr. Alexander Lloyd Blake will gather at the historic Ebell of Los Angeles for an evening of music, remembrance, and conversation. The evening is built around Running From, Running To: A Musical Reflection on Ahmaud Arbery, a choral work composed by Blake and co-written with Ogi, drawn from Tonality’s album Songs of Remembering. Wanda Cooper-Jones, Ahmaud Arbery's mother, will be in attendance and will participate in the post-concert discussion with Blake and the soloists. The concert features Grammy Award-winning soprano Angel Blue, reprising her role from the album, alongside vocalist Jamal M. Moore, singer-songwriter Ogi performing her co-written song "No More," the Los Angeles ensemble Wild Up, and the Tonality Scholars, the high school singers of Tonality's education program, all performing alongside Tonality.
