Lisa M. Coutu Ph.D. will discuss her newly released book, Communicating Cancer: Strategies for You, Family, and Friends. The book draws on her personal experience with breast cancer and her professional experience as a communication scholar at the University of Washington. She offers strategies for cancer-related interactions with family, friends, healthcare providers, and the workplace. In so doing, she also gives caregivers and loved ones ideas for what might work for the people they know with cancer. There will be time for discussion between Lisa and attendees.
