You are invited to an all-ages educational celebration of salmon! Inspired by the long-standing traditions of local communities in honoring the salmon lifecycle, Finnriver, North Olympic Salmon Coalition and the Marine Science Center have joined together to offer three days of all-ages educational fun.

Fin the Fish is a 25-foot metal female Coho salmon with a muraled interior who has quite the eventful life! In off-season months, she resides in the Finnriver parking lot, gracing visitors with her majesty visage. During the summer, Fin is a very popular one-fish traveling show, visiting multiple camps and educational centers before coming home to rest at Finnriver in the fall. We are very lucky to be able to open her to the public for two of our Solstice Salmon Days! NOSC staff will be supervising kids who wish to climb into Fin to learn about the salmon lifecycle and ecosystem. Free and open to the public, though donations are accepted! All proceeds benefit salmon and marine education on the Peninsula as well as Chimacum Tribal Services.
