LA clown Natasha Mercado presents her outrageously funny misadventure #1 Son in a series of Work in Progress LA shows, before taking it to the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe.

Co-directed by Chad Damiani, #1 Son is in an off-the-wall mashup of drag, clown and puppets, in which God’s ‘fave’ child Father Greg Orian asks: “Why did God make me his sexiest son?”

A prolific and innovative actress, director, producer, writer and theater arts educator, Natasha Mercado is also a teaching artist with The Unusual Suspects Theater Company. Her creation Send in the Clowns was the first monthly clown show at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater and she has also appeared on Adult Swim, Amazon, HBO and stages across LA. This year, Natasha plays a major role in the TBS reboot of The Joe Schmo Show.
