Here's an afternoon to read and reflect on poems and then respond visually, making paintings and other artwork. Expert teaching artist Meg Kaczyk provides poems from Wallace Stevens, David Whyte, Lisel Mueller, Mary Oliver, Ursula LeGuin, William Stafford, Billy Collins and other contemporary writers (or bring your favorites!). This class is open to ages 15 to adult and all levels are welcome. As for art supplies: In this workshop, you are invited to work with your favorite mediums. The exploration is in the expression itself, and not training with the mediums. During the class, you'll get to watch your artwork develop, and honor the mystery of the poet’s magic.
