In homage to its centennial milestone (1925-2025), The New York Society of Women Artists (NYSWA) is proud to announce the exhibition Reflections on Progress: 100 Years of the New York Society of Women Artists.
Launching during Women’s History Month, this landmark exhibition commences a year-long program of Centennial events for NYSWA. The exhibition vividly explores the evolving identity of women artists and the on-going fight for gender equity, social justice, inclusion, and environmental awareness.
Reflections on Progress features 45 works from both the Society's founding members and the diverse, multi-generational contemporary NYSWA members. Both two and three-dimensional mediums will be displayed in the Treasure Room and throughout the Interchurch Center Gallery’s main lobby.
The show will run from March 14 to May 2, 2025 at the Interchurch Gallery, 61 Claremont Ave, New York, NY 10115, with an opening reception on Wednesday, April 9th, 5:30 -7:30pm and will include a musical performance by the Harlem Jazzmobile.
