Where:
Camas Prairie Park aka PT Golf Course 1948 Blaine St, Port Townsend, WA 98368, United States (map)

Join Camas Prairie volunteers for a 1-mile walk to explore the Camas Prairie Preserve and golf park grounds to discover the history and varied habitats that exist there. We will walk around the prairie preserve, visit other areas where native prairie plants are returning, view the Hanging Tree, statue of čičməhán, and Hastings Pond.

Be prepared to bird watch (we have seen hawks, eagles, red-winged black birds, woodpeckers and more) and find a variety of native plants that thrive in different habitats. Remember to wear sturdy shoes and come prepared for the weather.

The camas plants are up in the prairie now, but the cold March weather has delayed the bloom until later in April. Other plants are beginning to bloom at the prairie, and we will try to identify as many as possible.

The walk starts at the Camas Prairie Preserve kiosk. Please contact: ptcamasprairie@gmail.com if you have any questions.
