Twelve visual artists respond to 12 short poems in this exhibit celebrating both art forms. The poems, by Western Washington poets, and the artworks by local artists are all on display together. Northwind Art's Jeanette Best Gallery is the place; in addition to the show, a gathering with these folks is open to the public there from 5-7 PM Saturday, April 12. The artists participated in a February Northwind Art School class, "Paint from Poems" with Meg Kaczyk, and explored the ways one can respond to the written word with paint, collage and other mediums. Artists in the show also include Susan Berry, Raea Stika, Steven Park, Meg Kaczyk, Kate Schinhofen, Angela Howard, Jaime Duyck, Teresa Greco, Merilee Nyland, Kim Ramsey and Amy King.
