Prepare to enter a world of dark visions, dystopian futures, and urgent warnings as acclaimed artist Mari Biro brings "Transylvania on Hudson" to the West Village, April 24-26, 2025, at 576 Hudson St.

Through painting, sculpture, photomontage, installation, and live performance, Biro masterfully blends ancient legend with modern technological anxieties. The exhibition explores three critical themes:

The Alienation of Cellphone Addiction: A chilling reflection on our obsession with screens, leading to a loss of human connection and sensory awareness—most evident deep within the New York subway tunnels.
Human Collectibles: A prophetic vision of a dystopian future where art and humanity are extinct, replaced by a cold, mechanized society.
The Tyranny of Curators: A powerful critique of the art world’s bureaucratic elite, urging audiences to reclaim the right to judge art for themselves.
"Technology was meant to connect us, but instead, it has turned us into isolated figures—half-human, half-machine," says Mari Biro. "This exhibition is a wake-up call. It asks: What happens when we let screens replace our senses and corporations dictate creativity?"
