The Ridgefield Park Environmental Commission is hosting an Earth Day Celebration on Saturday June 14 from 10 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Department of Public Works located at 24 Industrial Avenue in Ridgefield Park.
The event will feature:
Eco-Friendly Exhibits: Learn about sustainable practices, environmental protection, green technologies, electrical vehicle car display courtesy of Toyota of Hackensack.
Local Artisan Market: Browse a selection of handmade, eco-friendly goods from local vendors.
Live Music & Entertainment: Enjoy live performances from Mark Rust.
Recycling Workshops: Discover how to upcycle, recycle, and reduce waste with hands-on demonstrations.
Family-Friendly Activities: Hudson River Fisherman Association (Fishing Derby), Board of Recreation/Archery Clinic, Face painting, and educational shows for children – 11:30 a.m. Mad Science-Electric & Water, 1:00 p.m. Tenafly Nature Center Show - Raptors, and 2:00 p.m. The Wild Life Conservation and Education Center - WildLife Rainforest Animals.
Educational Exhibits: New This Year – NJ Department of Environmental Protection’s Mobile Education Trailer (MET) is an exhibit on wheels for NJ Fish and Wildlife. The trailer is an inclusive experience that includes interactive exhibits, educational videos, and informative displays.
